Description

2019 Austrian Silver Philharmonic Monster Box (500 Coins, BU)

The singlemost popular silver coin on the European continent is the Austrian Silver Philharmonic. Only recently introduced in 2008, the coin quickly swept through Europe during the Great Recession to become the bestselling coin. Within its first 5 years of availability, it sold more than 50 million units. The 2019 Austrian Silver Philharmonic Monster Box is currently available to you for purchase online from Pacific Gold and Diamond.

Coin Highlights:

  • Coins arrive inside of a Monster Box with 500 coins in total!
  • 12th release of the Austrian Silver Philharmonic!
  • Contains 1 Troy oz of .999 pure silver in BU condition.
  • Issued a face value of €1.50 (Euros) by Austria.
  • On the obverse is the image of the Great Organ.
  • The reverse includes a collection of musical instruments.

When the Austrian Silver Philharmonic coin was introduced it marked the first expansion of the Austrian Philharmonic bullion coin series into another metallic option. The Gold Philharmonic had debuted in 1989 with two gold weights available. The most recent addition to the program prior to the Silver Philharmonic was the introduction of a 1/2 oz gold coin in 1994.

The Silver Philharmonic coin features the same designs used on the Gold Philharmonic coin. Capitalizing on the rising price of silver and sinking global economy, the Austrian Silver Philharmonic Coin sold a total of 7.773 million coins in its first year. By 2011, it reached a peak of 17.783 million coins in a single year.

On the obverse of 2019 Austrian Silver Philharmonic Coins is the image of the Great Organ. This massive musical instrument is a permanent fixture of the Musikverein, the Golden Concert Hall of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. The hall is located in the Innere Stadt neighborhood of Vienna, the national capital city.

The reverse of 2019 Silver Philharmonic Coins includes a diverse collection of musical instruments commonly used by members of the orchestra. Instruments included in this design are the cello, four violins, a flute, a bassoon, a harp, and a horn.

These 2019 Austrian Silver Philharmonic Coins are all available to you in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and housed within a Monster Box. A Monster Box contains a total of 500 coins with the silver coins in the box separated into 25 individual tubes of 20 coins each.

The Austrian Mint was founded in 1195 by Duke Leopold V. Today, the Austrian Mint strikes both commemorative and bullion coins like the Austrian Philharmonic Series, and also Euro currency for the nation.
