The Queen’s Virtues Series is based on the six allegorical figures found on the Victoria Memorial outside Buckingham Palace. Queen Victoria oversaw an era of growth, prosperity, change, and modernization for Britain across a then-record-setting reign. As the 21^st century dawned a century later, her great-great-granddaughter, the recently-passed Queen Elizabeth II, set a new record as the longest-reigning monarch of England and carried forth those same virtues to a new generation.

The obverse of 2022 St. Helena Gold Queen’s Virtues Truth Coins comes with a depiction of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. The Queen is captured in this release in Raphael Maklouf’s third-generation effigy from 1985.
