American Gold Eagle Coins came out in 2021 with a new design element on the reverse of the coins. A first in the history of the series, this new design element made its debut at the midway point of the calendar year. This allowed the 2021 coins, the 35th-anniversary issues in the series, to feature the original design on the reverse of the coins one final time before switching over the new design.

Liberty continues to feature on the obverse side of 2022 1 oz American Gold Eagle Coins. This design comes from Augustus Saint-Gaudens and was created in 1907. The image features the full-length effigy of Liberty in front-facing relief as she walks toward you. The U.S. Capitol Building features at her feet in the background field with sun rays on the horizon and a ring of 50 stars around the design element. In her hands, Liberty carries a torch and an olive branch.

A new image of the American bald eagle graces the reverse field of 2022 Gold Eagle Coins. Created in 2020 by Jennie Norris, this new design shows the head of the bald eagle in left-profile relief with a detailed depiction of its physical features and plumage.

These 2022 1 oz American Gold Eagle Coins are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition from the mint and sealed in clamshell cards by Omega Bullion. These coins come from US Mint Monster Boxes and have been selectively chosen for individually packaging from tubes inside that US Mint Monster Box. We seal each coin inside a clamshell card that has the date, series name, weight, metal content, and purity for the coin. There is a product ID number and QR code present on each card.
