The Scottsdale Mint and Argor Heraeus have teamed up for the release of a new 1 oz gold bar in a lunar-themed collection. As a Year of the Dog issue, these gold bars are available only in 2018 as the lunar calendar lands on the dog in the 12-year cycle.

All of the 1 oz Scottsdale Year of the Dog Gold Bars in this listing arrive in special Certi-Lock assay cards. The bars are individually sealed within the cards and include a Certificate of Authenticity within the design of the Assay card. The Certi-Lock cards feature the image of the Scottsdale Mint logo, a massive lion, on the reverse and obverse sides of the card.

Included in the assay card from Scottsdale Mint are the holographic security materials and a synthetic DNA program. iPhone and Android users can use their mobile devices to verify the bar in their possession using the synthetic DNA system by scanning the encrypted barcode found on the obverse of the assay card.
